Adult Formation

The role of faith formation for adults is an important one as lifelong learning is essential to growth in Christian faith. The education and spiritual growth opportunities for adults are numerous and we attempt to match the many places we find ourselves on our individual faith journey. St. Andrews guides Adult Faith Formation by providing topics and sessions of interest to members of the community, including Alpha, Centering Prayer, Meeting Christ in Prayer, Strength Finder Course, special study sessions and speakers.

The RCIA is the process by which people become members of the Roman Catholic Church.  They fall in two categories.  Catechumens:  Those not yet baptized who will be fully initiated at the Easter Vigil celebrating the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.  Candidates: Those who were baptized in other churches and those who were baptized in Roman Catholic Church who are now preparing for Confirmation and Eucharist at Easter.  Team members journey with the candidates sharing their faith and life experiences in a group environment.  Sponsors are individuals who know and assist the candidates and stand as witness to the candidates’ faith and intention.
